It is the hope and goal of the Carmel Christkindlmarkt to be open to the public rain or shine during our Market season! However, we do know that there are some weather occurrences where it would be safer for our Vendors, Staff, and Guests to remain indoors.
Therefore, it is the policy of the Carmel Christkindlmarkt to close the Market for the following types of weather:
- Sustained wind speeds and/or gusts of +40 mph.
- Sustained ambient temperatures of 20 degrees or lower.
- Any weather pattern that has caused the County or State to declare a “State of Emergency” that prohibits non-emergency travel.
There may be other conditions - weather or otherwise - that cause us to close the Market for the safety of Vendors, Visitors, and Staff.
We will provide up-to-date information as best as we can when it comes to severe weather, so please be sure to check out and subscribe to our various Social Media channels.
