Glühwein Gallop 5k Run/Walk
Get ready for some wintertime fun on Saturday, December 12, for the 6th annual Glühwein Gallop 5k Run/Walk! The route will begin and end at Carmel Christkindlmarkt, and the race starts at 9:00am.
The Glühwein Gallop draws its name from the German word Glühwein (pronounced 'glue vine'), which translates to "glowing wine" in English. Glühwein is a delicious mulled wine that is served warm in different flavors. Glühwein and its special mugs are one of the biggest attractions each year at the Market.
For more race info, including the shirt design, weekend schedule, parking info, and a FAQ page, check back soon!
Our iconic Glühwein boot mugs can be purchased for an additional $8 during race registration.
Awards will be offered for overall winner and age-groups. Additionally, there will be a costume contest for participants - and the wackier the costume, the better! This event is open to all ages and abilities. Get registered today!
